Each Step Matters

Psalm 119:133 says, “Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.” The Psalmist makes a profound and practical request. He wanted his daily life to be lived according to the principles of holy scripture so that no act of rebellion, no sinful desire, would have dominion over his daily decisions. What a prayer. What a desire. What a request.

Have you ever prayed this? Lord, order my steps in your Word. It’s a wonderful way to begin your day, to begin your week. Learn this little verse. Commit it to memory. It will serve you well as you go about your day. Let God’s Word guide you in decision making, the things you do, the places you go, and remember: each step you take matters to the Lord.
