There is a "high you cannot buy".

It’s shopping season (for retailers, a good thing I suppose), and yet I wonder how many people are out there searching for, hoping for, something that will satisfy a craving, fulfill for a while a need, a momentary “high”, a thrill that lasts an hour or two at best.  For some it will be a party, some booze, a new car, new clothes, a new boyfriend/girlfriend maybe, or a sudden bump in adrenaline when they make a purchase at the mall.

Let me tell you about a “high you cannot buy”.  Its righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost (Romans 14:17).  It’s not something temporal, but something that’s eternal and lasting.  It comes to us as a gift when we receive Jesus Christ as our Savior.  The “high” I’m talking about gets sweeter as the days go by!  It’s a God thing!  It stays with you.  It’s the ultimate experience, the greatest joy, and provides maximum satisfaction. It’s spiritual, not temporal or earthly.  It’s being lifted up by a God who loves you and takes you higher and higher the deeper you go with Him.

This shopping season, don’t settle for a high you can buy with money. Discover something that lasts, something real, and something not found in stores.
