HIS Will

The church today is often powerless because of carnality, worldly influence and sin within the lives of the redeemed.  The fact of so much sin in the church is proof that we’re not praying enough or that we’re praying ineffectively or improperly.

We are taught in the Word to “come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need”, Hebrews 4:16.  We are to plead the blood, to pray in faith and in Jesus’ name,  and expect a reply.  Prayer is not laying hold of God’s reluctance, but rather His willingness to respond, knowing that God rewards of those who diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6).

Consider the promises to those who pray:  In Matthew 7:7 & 8; “Ask,  and it shall be given you; seek,  and ye shall find;  knock,  and it shall be opened unto you: For everyone that asketh receiveth;  and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.” In Matthew 21:22, “And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.” In John 14:13, “And whatsoever ye shall ask in My name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.” In Philippians 4:6 & 7, “…in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
